I've spent more than 20 years working in technology, and the
technology itself was never what I loved most. What I've always
enjoyed is taking something complicated, making sense of it, and
solving the problem underneath it.
I co-founded rascal Systems, a tech and data business serving the
UK's biggest grocers, and spent over 20 years as its Tech Director. I
grew it to 53 people, built a 40-strong tech team, and I still sit on
the Board. A lot of my job was solving complicated problems,
communicating clearly and helping people work out what actually
mattered.
When I started CSITEX, AI only became useful once I'd given it the
right context about my business, decided what it should and
shouldn't touch, and built ways of working I could repeat. That's
what I build with clients now: something shaped around how their
business works, its boundaries, how it should sound, and the work
that's actually worth handing over.
